My name is Claire, I’m the Recruitment Coordinator at Risedale Care Homes based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. This blog is to explore the Care Assistant role and what the job entails. I’ll also look at what you need to be a care assistant and how you start a career in care.

A Little Bit About Risedale Care Homes

Risedale Estates Ltd, established in 1987 is a family run company that has eight nursing and care homes over four sites in South Cumbria. Our mission is to provide high quality care for residents and families placing the residents at the heart of all that we do. We have a strong focus on person centred care and the individual needs and interests of our residents. We offer a wide variety of care including general nursing and dementia nursing care, along with specialist units for behavioural support and complex care
